BOSTON, Nov. 3, 2026 — VIA Science, Inc. (VIA), a leading software provider to defense, law enforcement, and humanitarian organizations, today announced the appointment of David Vanuch as Senior Vice President of Contracts and Government Affairs. Vanuch brings more than 20 years of acquisition, contracting, and procurement leadership, including senior roles with the National Guard Bureau (NGB), the Executive Office of the President, the U.S. Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office (RCO), and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) supporting classified and mission-critical programs. He joins VIA from C3.ai, where he was Head of Contracts and Capture for defense, national security, and commercial AI programs.

"Customers need a clear path to acquire and deploy the technology their missions demand," said Colin Gounden, co-founder and CEO of VIA Science. "David brings deep acquisition expertise and an understanding of how government operates. His leadership will help VIA turn customer interest into executable contracts, agreements, and broader adoption."

As VIA further expands across government, law enforcement, and humanitarian organizations, Vanuch will lead the company's contracts and government affairs strategy and build scalable processes that make it easier for customers and partners to adopt VIA's technology. In his role, Vanuch will also guide VIA's engagement with government stakeholders, advise on data rights and intellectual property protections, and build out the company's contracts and government affairs team as it grows.

"VIA is solving a challenge I have seen throughout my career: organizations need to put sensitive data to work without compromising security or control," said Vanuch. "My focus is on aligning acquisition strategy, government engagement, and customer agreements so customers can adopt VIA's technology efficiently while we protect the intellectual property that supports our growth."

Earlier in his career, Vanuch was the Senior Contracting Official for the National Guard Bureau, where he advised Senior NGB Leadership on more than $5 billion in annual contracting across the 50 states, three territories, and the District of Columbia. He led a team of more than 200 acquisition professionals responsible for roughly 20,000 contract actions each year. He also held leadership roles at the FBI and the U.S. Airforce RCO, and served nearly 20 years in the United States Marine Corps, rising to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant and holding communications and security leadership roles supporting mission-critical operations.
